Solutions Architect

We are looking for a Solutions Architect to join a global, well-established company that has recently built a thriving tech hub in Barcelona. You will be part of a welcoming, highly skilled, and innovative team, working on modernizing and evolving complex systems across multiple platforms.
 

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve application and system architectures to support new and existing digital products
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into technical solutions
• Lead solution design discussions and present proposals in architecture board meetings
• Drive the modernization of systems, including microservices and cloud-native architectures
• Work on improving current platforms, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability
• Define and oversee best practices for application architecture, infrastructure, and integrations
• Provide guidance on implementation approaches, ensuring alignment with architectural standards
• Collaborate with development teams and support them in building robust and efficient solutions

Requirements

• Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based architectures
• Solid background in software development (backend-focused), ideally with Java and/or JavaScript
• Good understanding of application architecture and infrastructure design
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized environments
• Experience designing and implementing microservices architectures
• Ability to understand how code, infrastructure, and systems interact end-to-end
• Previous experience as a developer with progression into a Solutions Architect role is highly valued
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience participating in or leading architecture governance (e.g., architecture boards)
