Senior Ruby on Rails Developer

We’re seeking a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer with solid experience and a practical approach to engineering. In this role, you’ll play a key part in shaping and maintaining the backend systems that support an e-commerce platform, ensuring they remain reliable, scalable, and well-structured over the long term.
 

Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and optimise observability, monitoring, and alerting across all environments.
• Improve the performance of backend systems by optimizing queries, managing background jobs effectively, and implementing caching strategies via Redis.
• Design and optimize domain models, using ActiveRecord and PostgreSQL to improve overall business logic.
• Drive architectural discussions and provide input on long-term system design and strategy.
• Write robust, high-quality code and maintain testing practices using RSpec, RuboCop, and SimpleCov.
• Knowledge Sharing: Guide and support team members to strengthen the overall engineering capabilities.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience delivering and sustaining Rails applications in live production.
• Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL, relational modeling, and performance tuning
• Experience with background job processing and caching layers
• A solution-oriented mindset delivering high-quality engineering while meeting business goals.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote team.
• Comfortable owning features end-to-end.
