QA Automation Engineer

We’re collaborating with a global trading technology company that develops real-time trading platforms used by financial institutions worldwide. They are looking for a QA Engineer to join their team in Barcelona and help guarantee the reliability and performance of their high-frequency trading systems.

Their mission is to bring stability and excellence to the fast-paced world of financial markets – ensuring flawless execution and seamless user experience.

Responsibilities:

Define and implement testing strategies to ensure high-quality software releases.
Design, maintain and execute automated and manual test plans across multiple environments.
Increase test automation coverage using Selenium or similar frameworks.
Validate releases before production and sign off on production deployments.
Review and propose new tools and approaches to improve QA processes.
Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a culture of quality.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of experience testing applications with complex business logic (experience in real-time or finance systems is a plus).
Experience with test automation frameworks (Selenium / Cucumber preferred).
Solid understanding of web/browser-based application testing.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Fluent in English.
EU citizenship or valid work permit in Spain.
