Platform Engineer Architect for an International Fintech

We are currently managing a Plarform Engineer Architect role for a leading global FinTech in the optimization and management of expenses and business travel. With more than 900 employees worldwide, +180000 clients, and HQ in Canada, USA & Spain, we are looking for the key member to join our Architects team and help scaling up our platform and products. 

Responsibilities

• Build and Maintain Systems: Design and manage reliable systems, networks, and Kubernetes clusters. Create pipelines to help developers quickly deploy applications.
• Lead and Support Teams: Guide engineering teams, mentor junior engineers, and promote an inclusive work environment.
• Work with Stakeholders: Collaborate with teams to ensure projects are ready for production before implementation.
• Solve Issues Quickly: Reduce downtime by fixing issues fast, automating solutions, and adding monitoring and alerts.
• Create Policies and Documents: Write guidelines and plans for systems, addressing risks and improving designs.
• Track Progress: Monitor goals (OKRs) and performance to exceed expectations and provide helpful feedback.

Requirements

• Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or STEM, with 12+ years of experience in a similar role (or 5+ years with a Master’s degree).
• Technical Skills: Proficient in AWS, Kubernetes, Linux, SQL, ELK, Jenkins, and infrastructure architecture. Experienced with CI/CD pipelines, microservices, and managing Kubernetes in production for 5+ years.
• Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate (preferred).
• Problem-Solving and Communication: Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal), with strengths in teamwork, analysis, reasoning, and time management.
• Development and Automation: Skilled in writing SQL and ELK queries, managing IAM, configuring APM tools, and merging/applying Ansible and Terraform PRs.
• Project Management: Strong organizational and project management skills with a deep understanding of SDLC and release cycles.

• Salary Range: Up to 175k CAD (according to seniority)
