Level 2 Operations Engineer (Windows)

We are looking for a Level 2 Operations Engineer (Windows) to join a managed services environment focused on delivering stable and secure infrastructure operations. This role will support Windows-based platforms, ensuring service continuity, operational resilience, and high-quality technical support for complex customer environments. You will play a key role in resolving technical issues, maintaining system performance, and collaborating across technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage and resolve Level 2 support tickets across Windows-based infrastructure within agreed SLAs.

• Investigate and troubleshoot incidents related to Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and core Windows services.

• Perform operational tasks including patching, monitoring, health checks, and backup activities.

• Escalate complex issues to Level 3 engineering teams with clear diagnostic documentation.

• Contribute to problem management by identifying recurring incidents and supporting root cause analysis.

• Collaborate with service, infrastructure, and compliance teams to maintain operational continuity and audit readiness.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a Level 2 Windows support or operations role within an IT services environment.

• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.

• Hands-on experience with patching, monitoring, backup operations, and routine system maintenance.

• Solid understanding of incident, request, and change management processes using ITSM tools.

• Strong written and verbal English communication skills for stakeholder interaction and technical documentation.

• Valuable: Experience with ServiceNow, managed services environments, financial services support, or Microsoft certifications.
