Test Engineer Lead- Spain

We are looking for a Lead Manufacturing Test Engineer to drive the development and continuous improvement of manufacturing test solutions for advanced electric mobility products. You will lead the Manufacturing Test function, working closely with cross-functional engineering teams and manufacturing partners to deliver reliable, scalable, and efficient production testing throughout the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the Manufacturing Test team, providing technical direction and prioritizing engineering activities.

• Manage the full lifecycle of manufacturing test systems, from specification and development to validation, deployment, maintenance, and upgrades.

• Define and improve the production test roadmap to enhance reliability, scalability, maintainability, and manufacturing efficiency.

• Collaborate with Mechanical, Electronics, Firmware, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to develop robust production test solutions and support new product introductions.

• Analyze tester performance, production yield, OEE, and quality metrics while leading root cause analysis and corrective actions.

• Coordinate supplier activities, validate new test systems and software releases, and provide technical support during manufacturing audits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience defining and deploying automated manufacturing test systems, including FCT, EOL, hardware architecture, fixtures, instrumentation, and software integration.

• Strong knowledge of electronic hardware, ATE, data acquisition, industrial communication interfaces, statistical analysis, MSA, SPC, and manufacturing quality methodologies.

• Experience troubleshooting complex hardware and software issues with structured root cause analysis, along with strong communication skills and professional English proficiency.

• Willingness to travel frequently to manufacturing partners.

• Valuable: Experience in automotive, EV, or Tier-1 manufacturing environments, testing Motor Control Units (MCUs) or e-powertrain systems, leading technical teams, and production data analytics.
