Java Software Engineer for a global FinTech

We are currently managing a Java Software Engineer role for a leading global FinTech in the optimization and management of expenses, bookings and business travel.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain codebase (being self-sufficient in at least one large area of the codebases)

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve complex software problems and present viable alternative solutions

• Be able to read and understand existing code, participate in code reviews and offer recommendations for improvement and constructive feedback

• Ensure the security of the software by implementing appropriate security measures and following security best practices

• Make sure SDLC processes are followed

Requirements:

• +4 years of experience in Software Engineering

• Expertise in Java and developing expertise in multiple other languages, frameworks and tools.

• Experience working in OS X and Linux environments, Python Frameworks, AWS, Microservices, SQL, NoSQL, GIT. 

• Being able to identify and present viable alternative solutions

• Having worked in a scrum, DevOps and agile environment.

• Understanding of relational databases, development frameworks, and commonly used industry libraries

• Understanding of testing and integration testing technique

• Understanding of OWASP.

• High Level of English is a must.
