We are looking for a CMDB Manager to oversee the governance, accuracy, and continuous improvement of configuration management processes within a complex IT services environment. This role will play a key part in ensuring reliable configuration data supports service management, operational resilience, and regulatory compliance. You will collaborate closely with technical, governance, and service teams to maintain a trusted and audit-ready CMDB environment.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the CMDB framework, policies, and governance processes to ensure accurate and complete configuration data.

• Oversee integrations between the CMDB, ITSM platforms, monitoring systems, discovery tools, and automation processes.

• Support incident, change, and problem management activities by providing reliable asset and configuration information.

• Drive continuous improvements in CMDB data quality, reporting, workflows, and validation mechanisms.

• Collaborate with technical and service teams to maintain audit-ready documentation and ensure high-quality data management practices.

• Produce dashboards, reports, and maturity assessments to support governance forums and senior stakeholders.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing or governing a CMDB within complex IT, managed services, or telecommunications environments.

• Strong knowledge of ITIL, asset and configuration management, and enterprise ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow.

• Broad technical understanding of networking, cloud platforms, VPNs, Office365, hosting, security services, and telephony solutions.

• Experience supporting regulated or financial services environments with strong awareness of audit and compliance requirements.

• ITIL v4 certification and the ability to produce detailed, audit-ready technical documentation.

• Valuable: Experience with DORA, ISO 20000/27001 controls, MSP/SIAM environments, or supplier configuration management.
