Chief Operations Officer for a Manufacturing Company

At IKIGAI Talent we are managing a Chief Operations Officer role from a Manufacturing Company based at Barcelona’s Metropolitan Area.


  • Ensure stable, safe, and high-quality production of proprietary battery products.
  • Develop BMS technology to a reliable and functional level for customer distribution.
  • Strengthen the AE business with a more diversified customer base.
  • Increase US sales to represent 50% of the market share for batteries (currently 5%).
  • Make EP the largest revenue division based on standard battery products.
  • Daily decision-making.
  • Collaborate with the CEO for key decisions and strategic planning.
  • Manage manufacturing and engineering departments.

Current Missing Competences:

  • Lack of experience in product development (Marketing, Aftersales, Customer Experience).
  • No current presence in the US market.
  • Lack of experience in manufacturing at the scale of 100-1000 units (experience only in manufacturing >10,000 units/year or <10 units/year).
  • No experience in scaling up with fast growth.


  • Age range: 40-50 years old.
  • Spanish or a strong cultural fit.
  • Professional experience in the US and UK.
  • Experience in growth environments.
  • Background in electronics, assembly, industrial, or mechatronics sectors. Direct battery experience is ideal, otherwise experience in chargers, high-voltage components, or electronic manufacturing is beneficial.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in companies with 500-1000 employees.
  • Experience in companies with their own product and direct experience with marketing.
