Senior Backend Platform Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Backend Platform Engineer to help strengthen and evolve the backend foundations of a growing SaaS platform. In this role, you will contribute to scalable services, secure integrations, data-access solutions, and AI-enabled capabilities while supporting the modernization of existing systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, maintainable, and enterprise-ready backend architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend services and REST APIs for a SaaS platform.

• Build secure authentication, authorization, and role-based access control solutions.

• Implement integrations between CRM platforms, databases, internal tools, and third-party services.

• Improve backend reliability, performance, observability, and maintainability through monitoring and logging practices.

• Support the modernization of legacy systems and contribute to platform architecture decisions.

• Collaborate with product, data, IT, and business stakeholders to deliver AI-ready backend capabilities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience designing and building backend systems in production environments.

• Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, service design, and backend scalability.

• Experience with authentication, authorization, API security, and role-based access control.

• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, CI/CD pipelines, and Docker.

• Experience working with relational and/or analytical databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, CloudSQL, or BigQuery.

• Valuable: experience with SaaS platforms, API-first architectures, CRM integrations, AI-enabled products, legacy modernization, Terraform, and enterprise security reviews.
