Senior Backend Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join a cybersecurity product team focused on secure data exchange and automation. In this role, you will lead the development of a Node.js SDK and CLI, transforming existing browser-based business and encryption logic into reusable backend components. You will work with a high level of autonomy while contributing to a production software product used in real customer environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a Node.js SDK that exposes core business and encryption functionality through REST APIs.

• Transform existing browser-based logic into scalable backend services using JavaScript and TypeScript.

• Build and enhance a CLI tool to support automated integrations with customer environments.

• Design and structure SDK architecture with a strong focus on maintainability and product quality.

• Integrate backend components with REST APIs and external services.

• Apply secure development practices while collaborating on security and cryptography-related initiatives.

Requirements

• Strong professional experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, and NPM.

• Proven experience developing production software products rather than proof-of-concept solutions.

• Hands-on experience using Git for source code management, ideally with GitHub.

• Experience designing and developing backend applications or reusable software libraries.

• Valuable: Knowledge of OWASP principles and application security best practices.

• Valuable: Experience with Webpack, Docker, cryptography concepts, and English communication skills.
