We are currently managing a Senior Backend Developer (Node.js) position for a fast-growing foodtech company that is transforming the world of nutrition. Their product supports more than 30.000 people in their daily lives.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, secure backends with microservices, prioritizing user experience.
• Write clean, reusable, and well-tested code, following engineering best practices.
• Embrace a QA mindset by integrating tests (unit, integration, E2E) early to ensure continuous quality.
• Monitor and optimize performance with observability tools (Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus) to ensure system stability.
• Work with distributed, asynchronous systems, mastering service communication, event-driven design, and resilience.
• Drive continuous improvement of the tech stack and processes, proposing tools and patterns that add long-term value.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in backend development.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript.
• Experience making decisions about architecture
• Knowledge about MongoDB, DDD & hexagonal arquitectures
• Know how to do unit testing, ideally with TDD
• Nice to have: experience with Grafana & Promoteus
