Application Reliability Engineer (ARE)

We are partnering with a rapidly growing organisation with a strong presence across Europe.
We are looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Application Reliability Engineer who thrives at the intersection of development and reliability. The goal of this role is to help build a fast, observable, and resilient platform across all environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, maintain, and optimise observability, monitoring, and alerting across all environments.
- Improve performance and reliability across Ruby on Rails and React (Next.js, etc) applications.
- Enhance CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and rollback strategies.
- Define and maintain SLAs/SLOs in collaboration with product and IT stakeholders.
- Automate infrastructure and operational workflows like scaling, provisioning or backups.
- Lead incident response and post-incident reviews.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of experience in Application Reliability, DevOps, or Software Engineering.
- Hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails and React (Next.js, Expo) in production environments.
- Strong knowledge of web performance, scalability, and observability practices.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and hosting platforms such as Vercel or Heroku.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (Bash, Python, Terraform, etc.).
- Security-focused mindset with experience using WAFs or edge protection tools.
- Fluency in English (Spanish and French are a strong plus).
